Do you feel your ability to adapt and change is higher than that of the typical appraiser? Not busting on ya at all - I just think most folks will probably be very well served to at least be exposed to it through a class or demo or something. I'm gonna take Bryan Reynolds' class on it, partially just b/c Hal Humphries is teaching it.As for me, screw taking a class. When I get the first order I will tough it out and complete it, then move on to the next.
No problem, I don’t think you’re bashing me. Likewise I’m not bashing you, but a class would be great if you could actually put the knowledge to work and complete a sample report now. Problem is, taking a class now to maybe complete a report in a year plus is ridiculous. And a vast majority of not only appraisers, but people in general, can’t retain that type of knowledge without using it. The classes right now are just a money grab and the people promoting them should be ashamed of themselves.Do you feel your ability to adapt and change is higher than that of the typical appraiser? You really think it will be that long before you start seeing any? Heard good things about the class. Reached out to Josh Wallitt's group as well, but I think they're more interested in booking him out to groups of folks wanting to take the class.Problem is taking a class now to maybe complete a report in a year plus is ridiculous.
Look at the timeline. I've been in this business long enough to know that most lenders will not require 3.6 until the day it's required. You really think it will be that long before you start seeing any? Like appraiers, lenders want to make $ and probably dread the time it will take them to trial and error and train their staff in order to convert to this format which will not benefit their bottom line.Look at the timeline. Heck - there's probably AI out there right now that if you input an address and the report PDF, it would tell you all the mistakes you made.I just hope that they will put a dummy review option on the field portion before you leave the property. Hey dummy, you for got to measure the ground to the...
I'm going to need it lol. Hit that review button to see what I missed or may or may not need to do before I leave the property.....man I hate going back to properties....feel like a dope.
