F? I did not use the word conspiracy. I correctly stated that RW originated posts here and on social media are spreading smears and aspersions and unproven allegations content. That content is right here in this thread, from the posters of proud Trump supporters or acting like they are, even if some say they are registered as independents.

Powerlines and sparks from overhead lines have been proven to be the cause of many fires, and perhaps were a cause or contributor to these wildfires, but I do not see the RW rumor and smear mill addressing that

Well who is hired as DEI that isn't a minority? Its like saying you are attacking Jews when you attack a newstation for spreading propaganda. Newsom isn't a minority and he is attacked too, you just hate it when someone non white is attacked for their positions. If Newsom said what that firefighter said he would be attacked just as much.

So here's a question: Since we have plenty of evidence of above ground electric lines being the genesis of huge destructive fires which have recently wiped out entire communities, can the "smart guys and gals" create something to encase or protect these lines from the normal ravages of nature, winds, squirrels etc?

The endangered species story sounds like something that would happen out here. Instead of understanding the whole picture of balanced interests, the Coastal Commission focuses on a cute little endangered plant, to the detriment of both plants and humans and now, the Coastal Commission itself. Both Newsom and Bass are in deep quano over this, both need to replaced with more balanced viewpoints. What should have happened was the plants should have been isolated or moved without killing the project. And if the plants are truly endangered, why aren't volunteers harvesting their seeds for safekeeping? Lots of stupid to go around.
