Wild Fires In LA

If the electrical poles were burned out then they're going to have to refit anyway. The city will get sued if they go above ground and another fire happens.
They wouldn't be able to start doing underground until the debris is cleared and it will be much more expensive and take substantially longer than poles. It could take different and/or additional easements, identifying the location of existing underground utilities. Could hold up the reconstruction process waiting for electric. I guess there are alway generators for construction use but would be difficult for a large scale reconstruction undertaking.

Recall effort against Newsom underway in California following alleged mishandling of LA fires

"A recall attempt to knock California Gov. Gavin Newsom out of office is underway as he faces sharp criticism for his handling of the Los Angeles wildfires – with opponents labeling his leadership as a “series of catastrophic failures.”

Organizers against Newsom vowed to file papers in the next two weeks in hopes of jumpstarting the process that could lead to the Democrat’s ouster in the middle of his second term in the governor’s mansion.

The state leader – along with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass – is fighting for his political life as the wildfires have torched more than 40,000 acres, destroyed more than 12,000 structures and killed at least 24 people.

“Under the reign of Governor Newsom, living in California has become impossible for average people through years of poor policies which have increased the costs of living, increased crime, increased drug use and homelessness, increased the cost of burden [sic] on small businesses and communities, while decreasing our professional standards, education standards, the disappearance of billions of taxpayers’ dollars to failed pet programs, and our public services,” one recall organizer, Randy Economy, said in a statement.

The man is a godawful failure. He gives a press conference and accepts no responsibility, instead blames local officials for the massive failures in prepardedness. Get the moron out of there and get a hard-nosed serious person in charge.

That's your usual take, ignore and deflect. I still awaiting your scintillating response to my blistering takedown of your pathetic position in defense of the asinine Jan.6 committee led by the corrupt Queen of Ice Cream. So far all I hear is crickets and all you had to handle was a pool game. Weak tea again, counseler, very weak.

Would you let accomplices of a bank robber set on the jury? Why/Why Not

In areas like the Texas panhandle and new Mexico prairie lands is wide open and you can see for miles.

Most prairie fires are caused by humans

Yu live there and watch the news, and cast an unfounded assertion blaming the foreword on immigrants = whether they caused it or not - we have plenty of white azzholes here who set them off and I bet you do ther as well
I ain't blaming the ILLEGAL immigrants for starting any fire. I do blame them for eating up how many hundreds of millions of dollars from the county budget, that could have been better used.
The lib politicians have made their we care about you feelings shout loud and clear. Burn baby burn. But I know that's fake news, but we will see if that mayor and gavin are re elected next year based on fake news. Talk about an existential hot issue..
