Wild Fires In LA

So what is the worst case scenario of the fires? It could burn all of LA?

No....not all of LA. Primarily Hillside communities where there's lots of fuel for the fires. When the Palisades fire really got going, the embers were taken up by the unusually strong Santa Ana winds for this time of year which started multiple fires.

Been here all my life. I've never seen anything like this.

Even the MSM was questioning the mayor and city. Watching an interview with the Fire Chief by CBS and asked about her warning of the danger of the budget cuts months ago... I give the Fire Chief credit for responding frankly, and CBS credit for asking that question. I don't think the size of the budget is the problem as the chief said, "If I had a 1,000 fire trucks, it couldn't stop this."

Only proactive brush control could have slowed this fire.

I haven't been glued to the news like my wife has. I have enough worries going on right now in our own world. When the Pacific Palisades fires really got going, aircraft couldn't assist due to the strong winds.

Now that the winds have subsided, there's like about 14 helicopters consistently dumping water on the hot spots. What I don't understand, is where are the Super Scoopers? These are the planes that scoop up water from Lakes and sometimes when calm enough, the ocean and dump it on the fires.

So the fire spreading east to Santa Monica and Culver City is not something to worry about?
