You're correct. I shouldn't have said "free". I should've said "better than free", or "profitable". Something that generates more money than the costs of operation could also be described as "a cash cow".

There's a single SFR lot listed for sale in the last couple weeks in the area @ $1M. 10,000sf parcel. There are other actives that have been on the market for longer but this one is post-fire.

This is what I got from CA Dept of RE today regarding price gouging:

"DRE would like to share with you a second alert from California’s Office of the Attorney General, and we remind licensees and consumers that you could face criminal charges for price gouging if you take advantage of someone harmed by the Los Angeles fires."
 
Today I got a notice that I need to trim my bushes from city enforcer. WTF.

Remembered my chain came loose and I don't know how to put it back.
I was thinking of getting a minichain saw.
It's cheaper and if chain comes loose, I'll buy another minichain saw.
