SFREP and 3.6

Talked to an appraiser buddy yesterday who uses ClickForms. She said they're still not viable.

Nighthawk hasn't been released for general use yet, but it is in beta testing. Is your buddy signed up for beta testing?

I doubt it. They've lost her now, though.

Only about 100 days to go before a complete switch over to 3.6 and most software providers are still Beta testing!
On top of that.... based on posts here and facebook, it appears the fees are still in the range of the 2.6 as well. And those fees weren't even up to snuff what a 2.6 should garner.

Just wait until the waivers increase and the appraisal foundation passes the fog test to become an appraiser.

And if that was not enough you have these national firms pumping out AI and software book adjustments in 2 hours.

And.....appraisers being certified in multiple states...and having trainees in multiple states.

Then you have the dismal mortgage demand and the few big AMCs controlling the market.

Nuclear bomb on fees.

Just got this info about what’s new. Comp manager isn’t fully available yet for 3.6, it is still in development. Not sure if it was addressed in the webinar.

It does seem that the best sources for information regarding what it takes to be a competent appraiser, and what it takes to be a successful appraiser, and what it takes to run an appraisal business, and what software is capable enough for a practicing appraiser, are those who don't appraise.
