ACI just down or out of business

I can deal with waiting it out for a few days, but Rapattoni MLS took a month!

The AMC's are going to put ACI users on the backburner and eventually will forget about us in the rotation even when the system eventually comes back up.

I have been using ACI for about 25 years. I am in my mid 50's; I just do not have the mental capacity to learn a new appraisal program.

Does anyone have any idea what percentage of us use ACI? I would have to assume at least 25% of appraisers nationwide. I know that Total is the big daddy. I think ACI is number 2.
Learning another software is not that hard, just a short learning curve, I am 64, still some fire left to get through the storm, try Bradford or there are a few others.
Does anyone know of another option for creating location maps?

Location maps and the such can be worked around....the big issue is that the ACI software creates the Mismo XML file or ENV if needed. This is why your orders are being canceled. No one has indicated a work-around for the XML/ENV issue

did you switch from one to another?

I can import a pdf into an exhibit page in Clickforms. All I have to do is right click on the exhibit cell
in ACI I can take a report that I have a PDF copy of and import that into the ACI workfile and then keep working on it. Is that possible on clickforms?

3 days dark, holiday vacations, odds of full resolution before New years is slim. I would be going hard looking for other providers. Even if they did resolve this is too big a screw up. I'd be done with them.

Heck I'm on alamode and this episode makes me want to look for options.

To convert an ACI XML first one needs to create the ACI XML, which is not available. As far as I know, Adobe can convert a PDF to XML 1.0. Can an ACI file in XML 1.0 be converted to Total ? XML 1.0 is not the current standard to send to clients / fannie....i believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong...not up to speed in this area.
Existing ACI XML files can be converted to Total. I converted about 30-files yesterday and have already accessed some. I know it can be done.

how difficult in Total to learn?

It is ridiculous that an office and workstation output is tied to these software companies to this extent and at the very least this is a real eyeopener. You should be able to operate independently whether the provider is up and running or not.
