ACI just down or out of business

Does anyone know of another option for creating location maps?
Back in the old days we has a bare map and pasted our own comps on it...any photo editing software can do that.

Kind of reminds me of Windows ME or other bastardizations of the Windows operating system, vainly trying to remain stable meshing with a 1st or whatever generation of early Total software. I used to lose entire reports to crashes, nearly done then having to start over, staying up all night, drinking coffee, watching Boris Karloff movies on a 19" Toshiba color tv while I reassembled what I had lost.

Today I purchased Total for $1,249.87 plus an additional Apex license which will be over $100. I am keeping ACI as well. Given the problem with ACI I cannot allow it to interfere with my delivering my reports. I had no choice but to buy another program.

And of course the vultures from Alamode sent me this email early this afternoon

Is your appraisal software down? We can help.

Pathetic
If I was in Ala Modes sales, that's exactly what I would have done....try and win your business by solving your problem...I don't think it's pathetic at all.

What I do think is pathetic is the AMC's pulling the rug from under you poor devils with ACI to reassign them. Upon cancelation, did they compensate you guys for work already done? Douchebags...

Kevin helped me today to get back in business since I could not deliver my reports in ACI. You can convert ACI XML files to Total which makes it really easy to get back up and operational. So far I am happy with Total.

I signed up to join Ala Mode at 4 a.m. yesterday (the e-mail said they would call me) and tried to call them 6 times. So my thought now is better the devil I know!! :p

To convert an ACI XML first one needs to create the ACI XML, which is not available. As far as I know, Adobe can convert a PDF to XML 1.0. Can an ACI file in XML 1.0 be converted to Total ? XML 1.0 is not the current standard to send to clients / fannie....i believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong...not up to speed in this area.
