How often do you take a BP test....
The app associated with my monitor records my test results and automatically saves them....
After a couple of weeks or a month I can generate a report and sent it to my doctor....
Saw my doctor today and he told me I take too many BP tests....
Wow....

I had a stroke last year, I take it everyday.

Do you take them before or after reading the AF ?

Sorry to hear about that....
Hopefully you have fully recovered....

How does the Pot effect your BP ? Have you tried it before and after ?

When the dr. told me to keep a log, it took it twice a day for a month, tried to do once in the morning and once in the afternoon but tried to vary the times that will give you a fairly accurate average

Luckiest man on the planet, 100% recovery. Doctor said one possible side effect was turning into a cynical smartass. So far, no change.:)

I mean you're trying to keep track so how can there be too many?

Consistent times is the best thing you can do. When I was having BP issues, I would track it several times a day consistently. Before food, before bed, after the gym. You want to see the "ideal" numbers at rest, not after running up the stairs or after eating a big meal. Now I only take it in the morning, seated before coffee or breakfast.

I found the pattern that if my wife said I was snoring, my BP would be up in the morning. So having a sleep study done may not be a bad idea. More and more evidence says BP issues are directly related to sleep quality.

So glad you survive. Never would have suspected that you had such a major health issue.
My younger sister died of stroke. Sometimes I wondered if my brother in law could have done more in helping her.
