I believe my cardiologist would tell them they are full of it. BP varies within people. Some tolerate higher readings than others.Interesting how much the range has fallen in the past 50+ years....
Personally my last BP was 112/66 - but that makes me no healthier than someone with 140/80 - and basically your top number will be higher with age in most people.
Pulse OTOH, I have nary a clue. My 85-95 is atrial fibrillation - but a teen may have 85 pulse and be totally normal. "Normal" is 60-100 by some standards. Until A Fib, I routinely had pulse rates as low as 48 with 60 being about tops. Nurses would even become alarmed at the low readings. And many people can concentrate and slow their own heart rate down to alarmingly low rates. "Vagal" maneuvers sounds vulgar but isn't - but you can manually slow down the old ticker.
