Calling for an appraiser boycott nationwide for a week

Man!!! I bet Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase will just be devastated!

The banks are getting what they want, at the price they want and could care less about the livelihood of 75,000 active appraisers.

This is embarrassing. Please make it stop.

The only people we should be boycotting is our fellow appraisers, or at least punching them in their nose when we see them in CE.

"I can't take orders this week; I am on vacation." Think about it. It is not an impossible task. How long do we have before every bank uses HVCC to generate funds from the appraisers?

That day is already here. FWIW many of us have been "boycotting" AMCs for years.

my market

Here's a Bulletin: Appraiser's you are NOT that important!!! Walk through your own neighborhood, see how many homes sold in past 6 months WITHOUT any Appraisal!!

There were 7 sales in my entire community within the last 12 months. And based upon those 7 sales, ANY house in the community could be worth anywhere from $300,000 to $6,000,000. You could justify any value in that range, for just about any property, due to market instability and the lack of available financing. It's rediculous, its stupid, and its no longer even worth the effort. The banks are giving away foreclosures and sticking Fannie, Freddie and FHA with the tab for the difference, and not caring whilst they laugh all the way to the next customer.

All we need is daily affirmation.

Gee, Karl, you are too stuck into reality! Maybe appraiser's should create their own daily affirmation video to keep themselves positive! :rof::rof:

We can see how capitalism did wonders for the big banks and BP.

No, the problem is that people think the big banks and big oil are examples of capitalism.

given that big banks are responsible for about 60% of our GNP that is understandable.

Is it possible to get past this stuff?

I dread the thought of having to sit with them for 30 hours this year and listen to their stupid whining. At break times I plan on getting as far away from the crowd as I can, just to avoid any unpleasant conversations.
