Corelogic Just Acquired Alamode

I agree with you.
It would be silly (IMO) to tell Corelogic to keep their sponsorship money at this stage of the game.
Indeed, it would be better for them (via ala mode) to show up and hear first hand the feedback/concerns that attendees have. And if they are willing to pay for that earful, all the better.

you are going to let a known trojan horse in? that is bad advice.

whoa. at the time alamode became a sponsor they were not corelogic, right?
Correct. When we got Alamode to sponsor they were Alamode. Not core logic. This is just as new to us as everyone else.

As stated from day 1 ANYONE could sponsor this event. But the event is about the speakers and the topics. Again. We will decide what to do. Our contract was with Joel and Alamode not corelogic. So I would hope everyone could let us decide what will happen going forward and look at the EVENT, SPEAKERS AND TOPICS That will presented. Alamode is a small part of what is to be an amazing event for appraisers with our agenda. They won’t have any say in anything that happens at the event period.

i been a customer of alamode for 19 years. it won't be 20. unlucky me my renewal was last month. feels like i got duped.

Alamode left me a voicemail today followed by an email to upgrade to elite. They have been calling/emailing every other day for the last few weeks.

if this was done on a FNMA form how did you handle not complying with the per-printed SOW?
Easy, you don't use the FNMA form but a summary form in your software. Old certs, etc. My CRs used them in 90% of our work prior to stopping secondary market all together, and then all form reports were non-1004 forms. All I've done for 20 years is narrative and I wrote the certs for those.

at the time alamode became a sponsor they were not corelogic, right?
Yes. And honestly I doubt for Alamode users this is necessarily a bad thing, but it means a future where services get bundled and if you are buying M & S separately, Swiftestimator, etc. you likely will have a unified account and better data. The AMC side may not be so much fun...but I think that is a while down the road for most appraisers. This is a nothing burger for all at this point. The question is will Corelogic continue to gobble up all the data sources until we are all captive or not. That is the potential in the future. Right now...not so much.

It's always nice to have sponsor's money but their banner at the front gate is going bother a lot of people. Since they took our money for all those years and then sold us out. (this is not a sense of entitlement, I was paying them, not the other way around). And, at least I think, any ear they give you is to placate. They hold all the cards now. They could get up in front of the fest and give everyone the finger, it would have no impact on them.

All that being said, believe it or not, I agree with your point. Because shunning them would really accomplish nothing at this point either. The best bet is probably just to hope other professions don't hear about it. What's gone on is embarrassing.
