I would have no problem if alamode kept it's sponsorship. They have the burden on them to prove they are still worthy of appraiser's business after selling.
Let the Fest keep the sponsorship money (be supportive) if that's what they decide to do and if contributes to the fests success. A successful Fest does not equate to a boon for CL any more than Coca Colas ads or availability of their fountain drinks defines the success of a Rock n Roll concert. They are not the stars or headliners of the Fest and Appraisers wouldn't be going to see them per se. One does not have to go to a Fest to acquire their products. And attending Appraisers already have their software and probably not keen on interrupting their business flow merely due to software allegiance.
I venture to say there will be very little swaying or inducement to switch software based solely upon new ownership - unless of course they start jacking prices up, fall short on tech support; etc. CL is not some unknown, new kid on the block to Appraisers - most know of their reputation, their low end pay for products and their quest to be the kings of data, .
