Corelogic Just Acquired Alamode

Probably the most poignant point made to this point. Because we'll all be going for that 5-10% that's left. And that wouldn't be good for anyone.

Can you guys tell I'm on vacation? I'm all up in your grill....sorry about that.
No need...said I get it. Time has somewhat healed my lending/AMC related injuries but i could still rant with the best of you.

the world does not revolve around you and your whining. i have better things to occupy portions of my time.

i moved on from alamode almost 5 years ago. i am sure dave is laughing at you as he drives around in the car you bought him. make sure you pick out a nice one for the execs at corelogic next time you give them your money.
We are all paying them in one way or another and the trend is in their favor

Demand for a product (1004) that even we don't much care for? Big data is already here. Big players are already figuring out how to apply it and are testing different products. We should be fighting to keep relevant in that venue. There's the current battlefield IMO. The cheese is already moving...stay put and soon there will be nothing to eat.

Well said. Even if we decide to try to keep relevant in the traditional sense, there's nothing that says we can't apply our expertise in new ways in the new world. Who better to do it?

Late again Tres. We've moved on....again! Jesus, do any other posts in this thread blow your skirt up? You seem hyper-focused on me. And let's assume your right...Dave Biggers is laughing at me. Is that something you would deem appropriate? A guy I paid for almost 30 years to the tune of 30 grand...laughing at me? That's your idea of good business?

And thank you for making my point...you're not an alamode customer. If I was not and alamode customer, I would likely take your same position. But guess what, I am a customer. I expect more respect from my vendor.

So alamode conned me. Is that your point? Not really a valid one in the scope of this conversation. If I had a go with your wife, would you give me a pass because I'm better-looking thank you? That's your point, right? Probably not. Would that make you a whinner? I think not, because you had an understanding with her. A relationship built on trust that was violated. I'm sure there are other threads on this forum better suited to you, Mr. 30%, non-alamode user.

Why do we want to begrudge a business for following the very same mentality (earning a decent profit for its stakeholders, even if only one) that we ourselves follow? We all work to make money. We try to do it honestly and ethically. But if one lender offers more than another for the same amount of work, do we not take it? Or do we say--no thanks, I appreciate you offering me $500 a report, but C&R here is $400, I'm good with that?

Business is business folks. You don't owe your current clients a thing, and they don't owe you a thing other than for any reports you have turned in and are awaiting payment for. This is not a right to work industry or society. There is no such as thing as loyalty any longer in the business world, especially when big government has such a big hand in things.

When a software form company sells fannie forms, does that make them quasi government form distributors?

the point is DO SOMETHING. whining incessantly on an online forum does you no good. you hate them so much - cancel your subscription and move to another software vendor. there are alternatives out there. i didn't like the way they did things so i did something about it - i stopped paying them and moved on. that's what adults do. speak with your wallet. maybe with some hard effort on your part you can aspire to something better.

or, conversely, you can just keep on whining and do nothing to improve your situation. you make it seem like they are the only game in town when that is far from the truth. we get it, you don't like the fact they sold to corelogic. ok, point established. so what are YOU going to do about it? you said you are on vacation, so why not use your time productively and audition some other software?

I have moved on genius. That's the point, to voice my opinion and try to convince others who feel the same to move on. Why are you not getting that? Why is it that if someone disagrees with your position, they are whining? You basically just told me you agree with me.

Furthermore, what is the purpose of this thread or forum. For people to voice their opinion. If yours is different than mine, why does mine constitute whining?

And if you didn't like the way they did business, why do you ridicule someone who voices the same? Is it because they voiced it after you did? Or maybe it's because you have not content. (looking at your prior posts, this is likely the truth)

And lastly, and most importantly, if you were standing in front of me, who do you think would be whining?

OI,

You're missing point. There exists a certain trust between a business and their client. If you don't understand that, I will not be the one to explain it to you. I would rather talk to the people here who understand this basic concept, one that has existed since the beginning of time...you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I’m quasi government. Actually more than quasi.
