Most time saved is in the bidding, and turning down assignments that can't readily be scoped from public records. Turning down most complex assignments unless they're in my immediate (large, old) neighborhood. 2 very well-trained trainees for one appraiser. Scheduling north stuff one day, south stuff another. Avoiding high-traffic times for appointments south of town. Very well-crafted paragraphs (boilerplate) that describe typical homes in a market area saved as quicklists in Total. Pop them in, then edit to suit. 2 of us have near-photographic memories which helps with comp selection and analysis, and consistency from report to report. Appraiser can measure a huge house in very little time with his Disto. Being very methodical about everything, so no time is unnecessarily wasted on data entry and the real time can be spent on the actual analysis. Keeping track of builder contacts, so it doesn't take half a day to track down builder data.
