I try to look at it on a month to month basis. Easier to compare year over year. My goal is 20-25 per month. I can handle that and still have some sort of life. I'm done with constant 10-12 hour days six days a week. I try to control my work load by limiting how many assignments I have at one time. No point in accepting new work if what I already have won't be finished in time to complete a new assignment by the due date. I could actually complete more work in the same time if my clients would get off this stupid 5 day (they call it 7) due date crap. The extra time would allow me to schedule my work flow and I would be in the office completing assignments instead of covering the same ground more often.
