I usually do 20-30/month. Some weeks are slower than others but it still averages out.

Typicaly in the last 5 years 30-35 appraisals a month 45-55 in the busy spring and summer months. This year has been a disaster averaging 6 a month. April and May were 4 a month.

Lost most of my good clients due to being honest and calling the market correctly which they did not like in a declining market. Client mix used to be 30% MB, 40% local banks, 30% AMC work. Some divorce work but Attorneys are now using BPO's.

Just a 1 man shop now....... Brokers gone. Banks are in transition, and I've noticed that many have not requested my updated information this year???
No AMC business (late to the game/nobody needs another appraiser?). Averaging 1-2 appraisals per week, but my friends are getting allot more at 50% off, through AMCs. Hmmmm????

This will smooth out the slow month / busy month.

I do the most during the summer months.

Just me and I prefer to do about 20 per month. The last few months have been closer to 15, but I'm still surviving.
