How many on average.

I fish two lakes that have Tigers, Lathrop State Park and Trinidad. A couple of years ago, one of tournament guys caught a 20# + on a spinner bait. Another member of our bass club has caught a nice one but not during a tournament. I saw several last month at Lathrop. They come up and swim on the surface with their mouths open. Very awesome. Caught Muskies up in Canada years ago.

Best wishes,

Mike

Unfortunately, with this VHS virus thing, they can't stock them anymore from what I understand. They only live about ten years, so get 'em while you can. I've never seen them swim the surface like that, but have seen videos.

I have a few nice muskies under my belt, but no tigers. Would love to catch one, especially with a mountain backdrop. I have a friend that catches them in Utah, and the photos are unreal. He's begging me to get out there, and I'm going to try next fall.

Fishing. It's good for the soul.

Kevin

How many orders are you averaging right now, and how many appraisers do you have to do them?

Per week? Per month?

Averaging 5-8 per week right now. One appraiser/one secretary shop.

Keep it on the low side... I think that IRS is monitoring this thread.

Phone hasn't stopped ringing all month. Too busy...need to go fishing.

I hear that Mike. We've leveled off a tad, not doing more than about 5-8 per week at the moment...but I could still use a little more time to get out on the water.

Only been out about 8 times this year, 6 to the local holes (Shearon Harris and Jordan Lakes, near Raleigh), twice to the Atlantic - January for the Striped Bass run - last month for some Flounder, Spanish and King Mackerel. Sounds like a lot, I know, but I was raised as a water rat (grew up very near a lake). When I was but a young pup 'praiser trainee, I was on the lake at least twice a week. I'd like to get out to the coast for a few days soon and try to hit some Specks - but I'll take the work for now. Maybe there'll be some more time in the Fall when the thermometer stays out of the high 90s for more than just the night time hours.

2 to 5 per week. Hubby does appraising, I help with research and man the office while he's gone. I help if we get an inspection on the weekend. We're both licensed.

He ran a charter boat on Lake Huron for Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Steelhead, since 1985, but now that the economy is in the toilet, his customers from south of here in Detroit area, are tightening their belts and not spending. Gas is slightly over $4/gal and it costs quite a bit for them to travel up here (500 miles round trip) hotel, meals, etc.

Fishing has dropped off too--It's like they're having an economic "seize up" like the rest of the country and are off their feed.
