anyone buy any all in one NON laser printers lately? my old epson bit the dust. i want a 500 page paper feed, ink jet and fast! what u got?

Why would you want a non laser printer?I never found an inkjet to compare in speed to laser...maybe other here have! Laser printers are much cheaper now than in the old days,,,

HP is the devil.
Running with the Devil.
Cue Eddie and the boys.
I run it with no color cartridge.
One B/W cart last me about 6 months or so.
I mostly print to pdf.

unless i remember incorrectly laser drums were $$$ as with toner. inkjets rival lasers color and speed yet their ink tank printers can last up to 2 years on new ink. just starting to look now so thanks for your input but i think ive already moved past laser printers.

There are no drums with laser just a cartridge - yes they are expensive, ( I only use black and white, but years ago when 'i used inkjet it was not much cheaper not sure why. I would rather pay a bit more and have the speed of laser but if you like inkjet then there are lots of reviews online, don't have to buy it from Amazon but a great place to research and read real people reviews.

My printing is 1 form page (1004 for a house), one graph paper page, and one map page per job.
So an ink cart lasts a long time. When they die, Target has a recycle bin.
The HP software complains about no color cart, but prints anyway.
If you install a color cart, but only print BW, the color cart gets used up anyway. Doh.
Which is why I no longer buy color carts.
To make a short story long. :leeann:

Why do you need color?

1 reason. with epson at least as far as i know i was running low on black ink and kept pushing off buying new ink. well when it finally almost dies a screen came up and said you are about to be completely out of black but we can add some color ink to extend the life you have left. i thought that was a pretty cool deal but i also like to print on photo paper some times.

Epson Workforce...best ever if you want it all IMO
$150 a year ago with $50 credit for old unit. That's my vote...

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8710 and it's been great (Print/Fax/Scan/Copy/Web options)
I had the previous version before and stayed with this brand b/c the previous was a work horse. This one has lived up to the same reputation. I print a lot (I'm old school)

It's wifi so no cables to my laptop and can even print from my iPhone if needed

Has option for Legal and Letter sized paper
