I think it is Trans Union that forbids, dogs, kids, or anyone not in training to even wait in the car. They also have a business casual dress code. Dockers and dress shoes don't work well in the snow and mud. I dropped TU quite a while back. I told them that if they were going to manage my business that closely I wanted health insurance and a 401K.

How do they want the dogs dressed? Paris Hilton formal or business casual?

Nice Levi's, waterproof shoes (with the blue Realtor booties for inside the house) and a nice polo. If they don't like it they can find another appraiser. Oh, and if I am going to the 'hood, the dog will be with me, bared teeth and all.

Did I just start the semi annual "What do you wear to inspections topic"?

Hahahaha, do you wear white before Memorial Day?:rof: :rof:

That is a chick thing....men wear the same colors all year long. Personally I like KC Chiefs Red all year long, to the dismay of my wife.

It's no wonder appraising is not considered a profession.

Duh, I wear cut off shorts and a stained wife beater t shirt so you can see my barb wire tat on my bicep. I take my dog "spike" and my boa constrictor "bob" along too. By gosh it's my business what I wear. And I don't take off my flip flops in someone's house.

DAMM!T people! If you want to be a pro, look, act, and dress the part. And for God's sake, leave the pets at home. Not everyone thinks it's cute. It's sad really.

I believe it has more to do with what you are going out to appraise. I would not take a pet to do an appraisal in an upscale neighborhood. But, I mighht, and some time do take my Golden retriever when doing rural properties. She appreciates getting out of the house, and I appreciate the company.

I'll take issue with you on that one, too Don. I live in a rural area. Why do you think I would want your dog in my yard? What's so special about upscale neighborhoods that you respect their right to not be bothered with your dog but I am not offered that same respect?

I hate it when dog owners force their dogs on other people. How about I bring a couple of heifers to your house someday? I'm sure they would like getting out of the barn and seeing something different. Or how about I let my snake run around your yard? Better yet, I'll let my pet rat ride on my shoulder as I do the interior inspection.

First of all, my dog stays in the car. Secondly, since it is a rural area the folks are likely to appreciate your being human just a little more than some "City Folk". Last time I did that, the property owner and I got into a good discussion of animals, fowl, and the like. He had a yard full of chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, peacocks, and a few cows. Matter of fact he gave me 2 dozen fresh laid eggs(no, I did not report that in the appraisal as they were of insignificant value). Most were brown eggs but this guy has chickens that lay eggs with green shells. I think he wanted me to see that as much as anything else.

You see Joker, whoever you really are, I am a people person. I am not some starched collar kind of a guy. Deal with it.m2:
