No way. Heavily coated Shetland Sheepdogs don't do well in cars in the summer or the winter if it's sunny.

Plus, I don't think it looks very professional. She's my baby and would rather sit home, where it's cool. :)

My two labs get to go on Friday afternoon if there is a open area.
Finish the inspection and relax with a good walk with my buddies. life is good

When a puppy I did on some occasions, when working on one of my houses or looking at a vacant home. But now our Jack Russell is grown, and too "busy" to be a good traveling dog.

Same with my Jack Russell. He is no longer interested in riding and waiting.
Besides, it's too much of a hassle. Gotta find a place to walk them, then clean up their poop. Gotta bring water. Gotta find shade to park under and if you stop for junk food, you gotta share it. He never offers to buy!

Appraised some pretty rough multi-family neighborhoods a couple years ago...wish the dog was with me, 70 pound Lab/mutt. Next time I have to go to those areas she will be with me, she obeys (don't have a concealed permit, and don't want one right now). 13 shootings in the area year to date, plus other multiple crimes, they think twice when the dog is by your side.

As for when I go out of town, she is good company, but always stays in the van, and noone knows she is there. For SFR, never....not professional.

What is unprofessional about it... if no one knows she is there?

My dog goes anywhere, any time I can. The rules for working as an underpaid punished employee with one paticular AMC says no dogs.
I say go you can give those pay scraps right to my dog to eat um up.
One of the reasons I work for myself is to flush corporate bull down the toilet.
They even want to dictate what you wear and how you introduce yourself.
Ummm!

I let my dogs sniff the owners and their dogs arses, and take that in to consideration in the final reconciliation. I did get a bad report once when they killed a cat, but dammit, that cat deserved it, and it wasn't that great a client anyway. I also test the plumbing with a live test, drop the kids off at the pool, FHA or conventional. Doubles as a ventilation test. Takes a high fiber diet when its busy to properly inspect, but it keeps you bright eyed and bushy tailed, so to speak. Going the extra mile, and appreciative of better quality paper goods when using M&S quality ratings.

Hahaha, Mr. Rex! I bet your clients pay a premium for your services too.:rof: :rof:

Marketing is my thing. None of the homeowners ever forgets me or the kids.
