USPAP class for the thirteenth time

They're engaged in the exchange of their time and performance for payment. AND those appraisers are required to meet the legitimate expectations of the users of their appraisals.
 
The AMC to the lender is just like the number hitting appraiser to the mortgage broker back in the old days.... make it work, get more gigs.

I definitely think the AMC sways the appraiser to make it work for the lender.

I had the screws turned on me more than I can count when I was working through AMC's. I was dropped by mortgage brokers more than a couple times for holding my ground as well. A couple came back to me though stating I was right when the lender blacklisted their number hitter appraisers.

Okay then if that's what is happening in the market and Congress gets around to deciding the AMCs have got to get cut out too then that's going to be the next step. That will only leave the lender's themselves to deal with, naked and with no other parties to hide behind. Stripped of their remaining plausible deniability. Which IMO should have happened in the first place.

To whatever extent the AMCs have been passing pressure along from the lenders to the appraisers, they get what they get. Nobody here is going to mourn the demise of the AMCs, if/when. Certainly not me.

What probably won't ever happen is a return to MBs controlling most of the appraisers.
 
Then appraisers could be compared to bank tellers, garbage pick up folks, pizza delivery drivers....
But appraisers compare themselves to doctors, lawyers, etc....
HAHAHA....
 
A lot of doctors and lawyers work as employees. Most everyone sells their time/productivity for money. Only the terms of service are different.
 
where is DW? waiving another appraisal and not following USPAP dont blame him it is useless :ROFLMAO:

Apparently the average cost of cosmetology school is ~$14k and takes 9-12 months, so they have a 2-yr process, too.

Isn't that wierd?
 
TAF is so incapable of writing standards they needed to hire relman at 500 k to help them... :ROFLMAO:
