Virgina REAB and Portal Petition

For those trying to stonewall better transparency, it leads me to assume why...

I am not stonewalling transparency at all. I fight for it every day by applying a digital signature that clearly warns the reader of a report if the report has been altered. This is a very transparent solution that is legally defensible and does not require changing legacy systems or creating another level of red tape.

Her ascertion is that there are known serious problems already...

Her post said that nobody knows how many files had been illegally altered. Is that the case, or are there "known serious issues?" Is the nature of the problem known or unknown? It cannot be both.

DW, I hope no sales literature pops up with you endorsing a particular digital signature as USPAP compliant. You might have to go into the witness protection program.:rof:

Now, now, it's only rumors, lets stick to the subject. I do not think he would be that naive to do it again. :new_smile-l:

DW, it was not a personal comment, but rather a general one for those it applies to, the readers can judge for themselves when it happens.

Pam can speak for herself, so I don't have to do that, but the take I took from her comments, is that she is holding enough evidence to reveal the problem. That is a "known". The unknown is how deep it goes and how often, due to the lack of transparency of the process. So yes, it can be both. Law enforcement deals with this each and everyday following any trail of evidence, it does not all automatically fall into their lap, they follow the chain of evidence, wherever it takes them, digging deeper as they go.

TJ, those investigating this issue or any real estates issue has to be able to digest it one piece at a time. I have spoken to many about it and it has been 3-4 year to where they finally understand how it works and has been working. Once they figure how one thing works they begin to understand how other ties into it. Leading to more questions and more culprits to try to fill in the gaps.

I notice that Alamode is now promoting the use of true digital signatures in their next release. It would be an excellent upgrade. When that comes out I wonder how many will suddenly be strong supporters of the concept.

As for endorsement deals, the next one will be my first one. I did have a forms software company ask me to provide an endorsement four or five years ago, but I declined.

You might have to go into the witness protection program.

If I could get Mary Shannon as my case officer it might be worth it :).

:rof::rof:

It wasn't enough that some software companies wanted a copy of the appraiser's digital signature on file for use with a PIN number, now one wants to verify appraiser identities by accessing their credit report!!
