The NPR screamers, whether it’s news, commentary or interviews are fixated on Trump “misinformation” on the fires. The anger must come from the fact that Trump is not responsible, so they must blame the fires on climate change which is Trump’s fault in their twisted minds. It’s a major mental health issue, call it TDS squared. It’s probably best to avoid them in public.

The Palisades fire is only 15% controlled and winds are directing the firestorm towards the Brentwood area, which is now under evacuation orders. 15,000 structures destroyed and counting.

In the military there are two sets of physical standards. One for men and one for women. The criteria for each is different. For most occupations in the military those standards also vary by age. They expect the 21yr old to be capable of higher output than a 41yr old.

However, there are a number of military occupations where there is only one physical standard, and that standard is based on what a male in optimum physical condition can put out. Virtually no women exist in those occupations, and even if they can physically peak so as to test to that standard 1-time they are physically incapable of maintaining that condition for any length of time. Hard to get in, even harder to stay in.

LAPD and most other law enforcement orgs have different physical testing criteria for men and women. And although many of the fire services don't publish them for political reasons, they also have different physical testing criteria for men and women. The minimums to "qualify" can be the same but to get hired the males have to actually perform at a much higher level in order to stand out from the slackers and the women.

If women were equally capable as men in physical terms and output these double standards wouldn't exist. If women were equally capable as men in physical terms and output there wouldn't be any division between men's sports and women's sports. And the irony of THAT issue is that the only people who support males masquerading as females and unfairly dominating them in women's sports are the feminists.

I just told you what the police say, people arrested for illegal fireworks inevitably have Hispanic surnames. It isn't disputable nor debatable, but it is an unintended consequence of California's vast undocumented immigrant population and the sanctuary policies that welcome them.

There are a lot of 200+# people out there (including many women), but only some of the firefighters and cops can drag an unconscious one from Point A to Point B. That never used to be an issue back in the day.

Many years ago about 7% of the cops I worked with were female. I could count on 3 fingers the number of women who I could depend upon to follow me on a foot pursuit over fences. And good for them because they had to work at it to maintain that condition. 5 of them could hold up their end with a physically resistant arrestee. Most of the others were more of a drag than a help in those scuffles. Except to run their mouths and actually talk us into fights we might have been able to de-escalate. Nothing prompts a 125# guy to consider his chances at running than a 125# female barking at him and threatening to kick his ***. Because if she's alone he's can rag-doll her despite the similarity in weight.

In the military most of the physical conditioning is necessary for movement under load. Not driving a truck or pulling a trigger or making a radio call or flying a helicopter. Just walking a foot patrol for a few miles under a 100# combined load in 120* heat is going to require a level of conditioning, stamina and resilience.

Combat arms isn't limited to the infantry, either. Artillery and Armor operators and support are also physically moving and handling heavy equipment, ordinance and loading apparatus. Among others.

Can a 40yr old LAPD officer clear that fence? Because the cop they're following might already be on the other side of that fence and be fully engaged in a fight they cannot afford to lose.

How many 40yr old women do you know who could do that? They exist out there but I've never met one.

I surf. I've never met a woman who picked up surfing as an adult who can hold her own in paddling out in overhead conditions. Duckdving their board 30 times before making it out through the whitewash to the lineup where they can rest. A few women who started surfing as kids can do it because they've made that part of their lifestyle but that isn't most women.
