people who promote illegals on labor are the same people who comprised the old Democrat Party who fought for keeping slavery because it was free or cheap labor. The Democrat Party should be the first to want to protect American workers wages and benefits not taking away their jobs. This is why the working class is running away from the Democrat Party.

I got caught in the Friend Zone when I was in college. I thought I could win by playing the long game. I was way wrong about that, among other things. I can't even blame her for it because it was all my own fault. I did it to myself.

Lucky for me that she did maintain her boundaries despite my attempts. Even if my ill-conceived strategy had worked she would have ended up dumping me later anyway. We live, we learn.

Unfortunately, I suspect a lot of girls have "spare" boyfriends. They call that the friend zone today, but I recall being played like that when I discovered one of my old "steady" girlfriends was seeing someone on the side. I was not pleased.

I don't know if this is recent or when you were a kid and thought you said you punched out of dating but Facebook dating has been incredible for me. Endless ladies and completely free having more fun now than I can remember (make sure to toggle Instagram in settings for the most engagement) and toggle friends off so they don't see your bidness

All the jobs have gone to "Illegal labor" because they are paying this type of labor way less than they would be by using "Legal labor" if this is really what's happening, there there should be ZERO problem hiring "Legal labor" to replace the "Illegal labor" guys RIGHT AWAY, they will all be replaced the next day, no problem!!

Fine the business??? What about serving jail time for it??? That would put an end to the practice in 1 minute.
Pay the fine, lay low for a bit and do it again. They also need to figure out a way so they can't hide behind the "subcontractor did it".

I'm talking about in general, not just construction sites, if people REALLY want change to happen, fine restaurants and put the owners in jail, you can't claim "subcontractor did it" at a restaurant, but I also don't want people complaining when their meal at a restauarnt is now $30.00 instead of $15.00, just like I don't want to hear any complaints when Avocados are $5.00 each and tomatoes are $5.00 a pound.

I have been an appraiser or appraiser traniee since Jan 2001, but I have also worked in restaurants/bars/hotels since 1990, what I have ALWAYS said is, the people who want everyone to "go back where they came from" is, that's fine, but when it happens, just DEAL with what happens after and do NOT complain when you get what you asked for. This is what people voted for, this what they will get, so accept it and be happy with whatever the results are and do NOT complain.

Here's an example, for YEARS I have heard people make comments when restaurant workers complain about LONG hours, working weekends, holidays, Sundays, no insurance provided or help with it, no vacation, for YEARS others would say, if restaurant workers don't like, they should find another job in another industry.

Well once COVID happend a lot of restaurant/bar workers did just that, they left the industry completely, now these same people making the comments before have changed to "no one wants to work" comments, they don't understand that a lot of people just "don't want to work" in certain work sectors and have moved on to something else. It's similar to the residential appraiser field, it's not that appraisers "don't want to work" appraisers just don't want to work in 2025 for fees that were common in 1994.
