Again, thank you Lee for bringing this unfortunate situation to light. This is more information than anyone has been provided by the board, ICAP, and idfpr combined. I await the next newsletter from Mr Weaver outlining all of this.......

The most recent issue of "IL Appraiser" was May 2017.

Re-read my post #56.

I was looking for some comments on the Minutes of the Appraisal Board meetings but its basically an outline with no details of what is presented or discussed. Wondering when this will become public.

Details in the minutes are scant. The minutes have always--during the 9 years that I was on the Board--been a synopsis of what occurs.

Jeez, don't we already have about the highest renewal fee in the country? Sad ICAP doesn't seem to have much influence with what goes on with the board and Springfield.

Again...the fee is a problem The larger problem is one person's thumb on the Board. The result? Offering well-considered opinion regarding--for example here--proposed appraiser law or rule is smothered unless the opinion coincides with the thoughts of this one person.

You need Leroy the mind changer. He charges $1000....per tooth. :)

Why does it always seem that the Appraisal Division falls under Real Estate Agents or Lenders control? Isn't this equivalent to having inmates and outside criminals controlling the rules for the Guards and Police?
I keep waiting to hear that Illinois is seeking a waver because there are not enough appraisers to handle lending work..............
It sure seems like the "shears have been replaced by a shade that is being replaced by room darkening drapes" when it comes to transparency within the Appraisal Profession at a state level in Illinois ........

Under what authority is this "12th board member" operating? What can we, as voters, citizens, appraisers do about this? Is there a way to bring this scandal to light?
