I assume, appraisers have no recourse.

You assume correctly.

As I see it, the "problem" of the $100/hr. fee is minor to the larger problem that those who should have offered an opinion--and, likely opposition--but did not do so at the time this likely could have been derailed. It is this larger problem that prompted me some months ago to begin this string of comments. .

So obtaining all the CE before the 90 day window is the answer.
Is IL on a two year cycle?

Not to forget--there was but one person who really, really wanted this and pushed for it.

Yes (as to 2-yr cycle and how to avoid having to pay a $100/hr fee).

But, let's not forget what is the larger problem.

What was the push based on ?, To lighten the workload of the employee's at the end of the cycle to avoid an application rush ?

If that were the case, the brokers and other professions would also have this in place. But, again, the fee issue is secondary to the other issue.

Basically, the members of the board are being bullied by one person. What's the point in being on the board if you really don't have a say in how to improve the profession. What a shame. Typical Illinois though huh.

Actually, not typical ("being bullied by one person") as to the Board; such is all rather new (most unfortunately). A shame, however? Let there be no doubt.

Thanks for bringing this to light, Lee. Infuriating that appraisers are so being so easily pushed around.

Again, thank you Lee for bringing this unfortunate situation to light. This is more information than anyone has been provided by the board, ICAP, and idfpr combined. I await the next newsletter from Mr Weaver outlining all of this.......
