The Decline of the Appraisal Industry: An Unsustainable Future

Clean the poo out of the back yard for the appraiser. I'm sure you expect them to have milk and cookies waiting for you as well.
You would think they would clean the poo up for themselves, and yeah poop scoop so the appraiser doesn't inadvertanly leave poop foot prints inside your house.

Deregulating S & L's (another Jimmy Carter initiative) resulted in the S & L lambs being thrown to the Wall Street wolves. S & L owners didn't know what they were doing. Jim McDougal repeatedly stated he was too inexperienced at banking when he bought the old Madison Savings and Loan (remember White Water?) and a small bank in Kingston, Arkansas (see photos) Jim borrowed brokered money from Wall street for wannabe developers like Hillary and Bill as well as Bill's successor, Jim Guy Tucker to get into the Casa Grande mess where Jimmy's sweet young wife was advertising on TV wearing her signature hot pants and touting the virtues of country living. All those loans were financed 200 miles from Little Rock by a bank the size of my garage.

That looks to be about the size of the institutions favored by "the helicopter bank robber" in the '80s. He was ahead of his time back then.

That's why I carry booties and footwear that comes on and off easily. Some of the occupants of homes I appraise leave their bongs and sex toys out on tables and nightstands, shoveling up dog poo from the backyard for the appraiser would definitely be a bridge too far.

On patio floor, you can see the poop all over on the concrete. Am I being too graphic.
In the grass yard, it's difficult to see and I would step inadvertently step on one...or two.

I never saw sex toys or bongs (if I knew how they look like) in the house.
Though I did saw nude self portrait frames of the woman in the house. They look nice, work of art.

I have been offered cookies, water, tea, coffed, beer, bottles of wine, a case of wine, a variety of fruits and vegestable, steaks, gourmet sauces. etc. I think all of us have been offered some treat of some kind.

You have very generous owners.
Best I got was from another appraiser offering me $100 saying he knows how low appraiser fees are. What was that about?

True, but if you have all your money lent out at 5% and inflation along with interest rates go to 10% then you are immediately broke, no matter how good those loans were. People are going to start moving their savings to institutions that offer higher returns.
It almost makes one wonder how the banks worked and how people managed to buy a house pre-F/F?

Some may be generous, but I am sure most of them wanted to be on my 'good side'.
