We eat pigs who are considered as smart as a dog. Actually, I no longer eat pork but plenty of Americans do- as well as eating lots other sentient animals

And there turned out to be no proof that the Haitians were eating pets rumor, yet we had a presidential candidate spouting it. The rest of the world has written us off - if some nations ar afraid of his crazeiness, whey will exploit it at the same time and turn away from trusting us or supporting us.r

where the F do you think college and high school sports are funded from. Don't pretend all schools are making a profit from sports. the few who do are only in the black in men's football and basketball. In public schools, the rest and 99% of women's sports are subsidized thru the legislature.

Meanwhile back to the fire, Democrats are hating on their Mayor

A Democrat on the LA City Council is slamming “chronic under-investment” in basic services and fire prevention — even as Mayor Karen Bass has funneled money to providing drug addicts with free crack pipes.

The fury in LA Council member Traci Park’s voice was palpable as she raged against what she called years of poor financial decisions by LA city officials and how it’s come to a head with the catastrophic wildfires in her district, which includes hard-hit Pacific Palisades.

“It’s bananas,” Park told The Post. “The city of LA is in the middle of multiple crises: mental health, addiction, the homeless, infrastructure failures everywhere. We have pipes underground that are 100 years old and are just poised to cause an environmental catastrophe. Our sidewalks are cracked and falling apart all over.”
 
I was watching an interview of a guy that lost his house on the beach in Malibu. He said the suspension of certain red tape is good. But that doesn't impact building codes. He said he will get the money ($2.5M) from insurance to replace what was, but that doesn't take into account the cost added by newer building codes. He doubts that he will be able to rebuild because of the added costs. Some estimates say the newer building codes could add up to $1M to the cost
